The Course Structure

During the course you will:

  • See large dairy, pig, and poultry units in operation.
  • Explore laboratory and dissection facilities.
  • Through a series of lectures and interactive practical sessions be given instruction on several species including cattle, horses, sheep, pigs, poultry, and dogs.
  • Be offered practical advice on completing application forms and preparing for interviews.
  • Have a 'mock' interview assessment with a former veterinary college senior lecturer.

A residential course spread over three days with all accommodation, meals, and transport between units and the hotel provided. For dates times and costs please see below.

Your parents are also invited and encourages to attend at certain times during the course. We know that they will have important questions about their role in supporting you.
